Monthly billing is not the same as an annual commitment

A price advertised per month can be the monthly equivalent of a full year paid upfront. At the reviewed UAE annual rates, Basic is USD 24 per month, Grow USD 69 and Advanced USD 299. Multiply the annual-billing monthly rate by twelve to calculate the subscription commitment. Do not multiply the monthly-flexible price and call that the discounted annual plan.

Use the live billing screen for your store as the final source. Promotions, country-specific offers and contract terms can change. An Abu Dhabi business should also check whether its bank adds a foreign-currency processing charge even when the dirham conversion is predictable.

What the subscription does—and does not—buy

The subscription provides the Shopify platform. It is separate from hiring Vexa to design and set up a store, buying a paid theme, purchasing a domain, paying app subscriptions or fulfilling orders. Our custom store design and full setup starts from AED 4,000; that is a service starting price, not the Shopify subscription.

Put transaction costs in a separate part of the budget: payment-provider charges, any applicable Shopify third-party transaction fees, refunds, currency conversion and delivery charges vary with sales. A cheap subscription does not guarantee the lowest total operating cost.

Which plan should a UAE merchant choose?

Start with required staff access, reporting, integrations and supported checkout features. A small catalogue does not automatically require Advanced, and a large catalogue does not by itself justify Plus. Compare the monthly cost difference against a requirement or a measurable fee saving using your actual processed order value.

For a fee comparison, calculate eligible monthly sales multiplied by the difference between applicable transaction-fee rates. Compare that saving with the subscription increase, while confirming exclusions with Shopify. Do not use gross turnover from unrelated channels as if every sale incurred the same fee.

Build an annual operating budget

Create one column for fixed annual subscriptions and another for usage-linked costs. Include apps that bill by order, customer or message volume; a plan that fits today's traffic may become more expensive during seasonal promotions. Reserve a separate support and improvement budget rather than assuming every change is included in a subscription.

For Plus, the reviewed UAE page shows a starting price of USD 2,300 per month, approximately AED 8,446.75, subject to contract terms. Do not treat it as a cancel-anytime monthly offer. Obtain a written contract quote and compare the full commitment before approving an upgrade.
