How to Set Up Aramex or iMile Shipping on Shopify—and Check Fetchr
Set up a carrier account that covers your UAE pickup and delivery areas, then use its approved Shopify app or a supported shipping connector. Configure shipping zones and rates separately from label creation, and test tracking, COD and returns. Aramex and iMile have integration routes to assess. We could not verify a current official Fetchr Shopify setup route during this review; do not rely on old tutorials without confirmation.

Agree delivery coverage and commercial terms first
Ask the carrier about pickup from your actual Abu Dhabi address, delivery to the other emirates, remote-area restrictions, cut-off times, parcel limits and return charges. Confirm COD collection and remittance if you offer cash payment. A shipping app cannot extend a carrier contract to areas or services it does not cover.
Give the carrier realistic parcel weights and dimensions. Volumetric billing, failed delivery attempts and return charges can materially change the economics. Do not advertise same-day or free nationwide delivery before the service and cost have been confirmed.
Connect the approved app to the right account
For Aramex, request the current supported Shopify route and account requirements from the carrier or its approved integration provider. For iMile, a Shopify App Store listing describes shipment creation, labels and tracking; verify publisher, regional suitability and account compatibility before installing.
Connect the pickup location, shipper details and services, then map order addresses and phone fields. Keep API credentials in the approved app configuration. Prevent two shipping tools from automatically creating a label for the same order.
Shipping prices and shipping labels are different
The rate a shopper sees at checkout is not necessarily a live carrier quote. Configure shipping profiles, zones, weight or price rules and any free-delivery threshold. If you need third-party calculated rates, verify the Shopify plan and app requirements rather than assuming label integration provides them.
Test an Abu Dhabi order, another emirate, an unsupported destination and a basket near a free-shipping threshold. Confirm tax treatment of delivery with your accountant. A correct label after checkout does not fix an incorrect delivery charge collected from the customer.
Verify Fetchr and test the return journey
Our review did not establish a current official Fetchr Shopify integration and UAE service scope. That is a verification limitation, not a claim that every Fetchr service has ceased. Ask for a current contract, support contact, supported integration and operational test before using it in a launch plan.
For any carrier, test label cancellation, tracking updates, failed delivery, return-to-origin and COD remittance. Reconcile the amount collected against the courier statement. Do not mark a COD order paid just because a label was generated or the parcel left your warehouse.
