Does Clean Art need apps? No. Quick view, quick add, the cart drawer, the wall preview, Try it on your wall, filters, pop-ups and everything else are built in. Filters are set up in Shopify's free Search & Discovery app, and translations in the free Translate & Adapt app.
What image size should I upload? Any size works. Shopify serves resized copies to each screen. About 2000 px on the long side is plenty for artworks.
My product images are all different shapes. How do I make the grid tidy? Pick one Image ratio in Theme settings > Product cards, then choose the fit, position, mat and title lines. See Product cards.
Why does a feature not show on my store? Some features appear only when your store uses them: Shop Pay Installments (turn on in Shopify Payments), pickup availability (needs a pickup location), Purchase options (needs subscription plans), unit prices (set on the product), Follow on Shop, and the language or country selector (needs more than one language or market).
How does the wall preview know the size of a work?
From the Size option's value, such as Medium, 50 cm (longest side), or from the cleanart.width_cm and cleanart.height_cm fields. See Add your artworks.
Does Try it on your wall upload my customers' photos? No. The photo stays on the shopper's device.
How do I add a filter for artist, medium or orientation? In the Search & Discovery app, add a filter for the Vendor or for a product metafield. It appears on collection and search pages automatically. See Collections and filters.
Does the printable artwork details sheet prove authenticity? No. Anyone can print it before buying. For certificates tied to orders, see Certificates of authenticity.
Can I sell in several languages? Yes. Clean Art includes English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. See Languages.
How do I turn off animations? Theme settings > Motion > Enable animations. Visitors who prefer reduced motion never see scroll effects anyway.
Will updating the theme remove my changes? Your settings, sections and text carry over. Edits to the theme code do not. See Install and update.
